Tuesday Pot Pourri

Anna B, This Jack Handey is for you:

"I wish a robot would get elected President. That way, when he came to town, we could all take a shot at him and not feel too bad." It matches your blog photo. Thanks.

Well, Donovan's oral surgery is over. I won't say it went super well, just over. Versed is an oral sedative like Valium (only better according to Dr. Smoot.) He went into the procedure like a drunk and came out like a boxer! Talk about angry. It's all over now and maybe we can move into the more pleasant phase of braces for both of the boys. LOL!

Now our clothes washer is broken and the drier "screams" (Anna B, would you ever attack yours?) when we start a load. Repairman comes over tomorrow thanks to a recommendation from a neighbor. It's getting laughable. Thank heavens we have faith and live for a much greater purpose, because this earthly thing is starting to be a drag:)

We're actually doing better than ever, just battling "things." We'll deal. It's for our experience, right? :)

Well, the good news? Made salsa tonight and I worry no longer...

Did ya miss me?

Today's best memories: This lion fountain at Hogle Zoo and Gene Kelly dancing in any movie.
After a 20 day hiatus from blogging I'll give you the eclectic update...summarized:
--car repairs this week..................$727.62
--teeth extractions, both boys(EW!)...$249.00
--new running shoes on ebay today......$60.94 (first time, $130.00. Whatta bargain!)
--I'm teaching tap at Li'l Scholars and at Lakeview Acad. busy, busy.
--tried the new Thai House restaurant on Lehi Main St. with Rob this week. Tasty Red Curry.
Rob and Bob are the only two men in my life. Rob Greenwell & Bob Greene, that is. You know, Oprah's Bob. I'm thrilled to be COMMITTED to living my best life possible and I'm changing the way I eat and live. I feel great and am motivated.
Rob has lost 25 lbs. since Jan 1! He's amazing and just keeps getting better. He's eating better and runs on the treadmill downstairs 5 or 6 days a week. And does he ever run! We're studying Bob's Best Life system and the incredible Dr's Roizin and Oz's books (YOU staying Young and You on a Diet).
We are so blessed to have so many resources when we want to change and improve our lives.
I benefit from so many other people's education. Thank You.

Zoo day

Donovan's zoo field trip last week was so much fun. Here he is in the Himalayan Highlands practicing his Zen bowl music. Beautiful! Makes me smile. The following pic is of our sweet group and D's cool teacher, Mr. Livingston. Hat's off to you, man. I couldn't do your job!

Here is the iguana who fell from a high tree in the stinky reptile bldg- you know where you could touch the animals if you wanted to.
Two lizards were playing "king of the hill...tree" and this guy lost, plummeting at 60 mph for the concrete when he miraculously caught the net railing with his claw and swung to a halt. It was by far THE coolest moment in my zoo history! We all watched and gasped with excitement.
Mr. L at the new elephant that spits and makes entertaining noises. Thanks Rocky Anderson and the citizens of SL:)

Here is "Grannie P.", my eighty-something grandma who ROCKS! 3 reasons why:
-She tapes a photo of her on the B-day bill the kids each get:) We giggled and giggled
-Tatoos! And not just her eyebrows! Wink, wink. She'll try anything.
-She is complete love. Love you.
